Women health camp on reproductive health and cervical cancer screening

The project officially started in in Thaha Municipality. Being Youth organized three different sessions
of health camp in Thaha Municipality. The free health camp offered examination and treatment of uterine prolapse, cervical cancer screening, and different other reproductive health disease and
awareness raising activities about the early detection of cervical cancer among the women aged 35 plus and free medicine distribution. There are about 700 women who have been benefited from our health camp, among them about 500 women have been screened.

Unfortunately during the last camp, among 18 women doctors found possibility for the cervical cancer and doctors urgently referred for the further test and treatment, and found to have chronic cervicitis after the further treatments.

Over the past one year we have seen a huge progress on the women of Thaha municipality not only

they are motivated to receive cancer screening, but also motivated to protect their own health through prevention and early detection
