Transforming Education in Thaha Municipality
In Thaha Municipality, access to quality education is often limited by geography, economic hardship, and lack of resources. Recognizing these challenges, Being Youth, with the support of ONGD-FNEL, has been actively working to improve both the quality and accessibility of education through targeted, community-driven interventions.
📚 Improving Access to Education
Education should be a right, not a privilege. To reduce financial barriers, Being Youth supported 1400 students with essential educational materials and school uniforms.
This support has helped increase school attendance, reduce dropout risks, and ensure that children from disadvantaged backgrounds can continue their education with dignity.
💻 Enhancing Learning Environments
Creating a supportive and engaging learning environment is key to improving educational outcomes. The project has:
- Provided computers, printers, and smart TVs to schools
- Supported infrastructure improvements to ensure safer learning spaces
- Introduced interactive and digital learning methods
These efforts have modernized classrooms and helped students develop digital literacy skills, essential for the 21st century.
👩🏫 Strengthening Teacher Capacity
Teachers play a central role in shaping student success. The project has supported educators through training and exposure to improved teaching methodologies, helping them deliver more interactive, student-centered learning experiences.
🎯 Career Guidance for Future Pathways
To bridge the gap between education and future opportunities, Being Youth implemented a Career Guidance Training Program:
- 616 Grade 9 students from 18 schools participated
- Students were guided to identify careers based on their interests, strengths, and abilities
This initiative has increased students’ motivation, helping them stay focused on their studies and make informed decisions about their future.
